A cookie is a very small text file that is stored on your computer. It is used to remember you and your selections on the website. Cookies are an excellent way for websites to save important information and settings in order to make things easier for you as a user.

For example, what you entered in a form the last time you were here so that you don’t have to enter it again, what selections you made and so on. Cookies cannot contain code and so you don’t need to worry about advertising, spy ware, viruses or similar.

Cookies have no noticeable effect on your system. It is only the website that saved the text file that can read it, so nobody else can see what you did here.
